Wallpaper Should Still Be Loved

Mentioning wallpaper, the first image that comes to mind is this :

Wallpaper has evolved to include many designs and trends that can easily be applied in every room,often on one focal wall.

This beautiful Damask wallpaper has a light pattern that adds interest to the room, yet don't overpower the furniture.

Shiny wallpapers reflect light in your room. Just glamorous.

Grasscloth wallpaper adds texture and warmth to the space. Because on a larger scale the mismatch lines would be obvious, i would prefer to use it on hallways and dens.

Mural wallpaper is simply a piece of art. It can create a theme or a mood in a room.

Motivo Crocodile and Motivo Lace are two textured wallcoverings with a glossy finish by CeasarStone , using quartze stone. It can also be used as a countertop and backsplash. Does it get any more luxurious then that?

Embossed wallpaper adds architectural interest to a room. You can paint it any color you want, and in a few years if you get bored, you can re-paint it with another color. This wallpaper can be used on  furniture like a chest, mirror frame..etc to create a custom look.

So now you can see that wallpaper glamorizes a room and adds style to it. Another plus, with proper installation, it can be easily removed without any damages.

Nickadoo Tree Trunk Table

I love furniture pieces where natural materials are mixed with modern materials. These unique Nickadoo tree trunk tables designed by Quebecois designer Nicole Belanger are just that.  Trees that have either fallen naturally or cut by lumber companies are salvaged , where the trunks are cut, cleaned, sanded, polished and then used as an end table or an extra seating (yes it can carry up to 400 pounds) . Not to mention that each table is a one of a kind with its different size, age and natural marks.  Now this is true recycling. What do you think ?

I personally love this hemispherical wall kitchen cabinet called Dime by Splinter Works. After preparing snacks or cocktails, i can simply close the cabinet and just pretend that the mess is no longer there.

For all the shoe lovers out there, this feminine Stiletto from Splinters Work is a perfect addition to your space.

 This beautiful polished steel Lectori Salutem Desk by Jeroen Verhoeven is simply a piece of art 

This Canned bench by Straight Line Designs remind me of sardines.

Monochromatic can be Dramatic

 When designing a room, the variety of color palettes you choose can create its mood and feel, but what if you like one color that you just cant get enough of? Monochromatic color scheme is your choice. No , its not boring to use one color. Choose your color, and use its different hues and tints to create a soothing, exciting or a bold room. It is also important to use different textures , patterns and scales to give a depth to the room. Make sure to unify the space by adding similar patterns and colors in different areas of the room.
I have to warn you that its not easy to pull that look off, but if you do it right then you will end up with a stunning room.

Anyways, here are some picture that will inspire you and make you love your favorite color even more.
